The Department of Defense has identified 3,846 American service members who have died since the start of the Iraq war. It confirmed the deaths of the following Americans this week:

BEWLEY, Kevin R., 27, Petty Officer Second Class, Navy; Hector, Ark.; Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 11.

DAVIS, Carletta S., 34, Staff Sgt., Army; Anchorage; 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry).

LINDE, John D., 30, Staff Sgt., Army; New York; 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry).

MULLER, Adam J. Muller, 21, Pfc., Army; Underhill, Vt.; 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry).

NDURURI, Christine M., 21, Specialist, Army; Dracut, Mass.; Third Armored Cavalry Regiment.

SHAW, Daniel J., 23, Sgt., Army; West Seneca, N.Y.; Second Infantry Division.

STENROOS, Derek T., 24, Sgt., Army; North Pole, Alaska; 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry).

WALLS, Johnny C., 41, Sgt. First Class, Army; Bremerton, Wash.; First Infantry Division.
